A 110 all-cottage deluxe property, the Chedi resort is located directly on Pansea Beach. It first opened in 1982 as Pansea Hotel and was renovated in 1989. In 1995, it was renamed The Chedi, Phuket when it went under its current management. All in all, the hotel is superbly appointed and serviced, making it an excellent choice for the visitor.
The Chedi is centrally located on the island of Phuket, only 25 minutes from the Airport, 30 minutes from Phuket Town and 20 minutes from the nightlife of Patong. The resort provides a daily shuttle bus service between the hotel and Phuket Town and Patong at set times. The Chedi is one of the few resorts in Phuket which is actually located directly on the beach. From your cottage you will hear the relaxing sound of the waves of the Andaman Sea. Pansea beach is a secluded bay.
All 109 cottages have verandahs, handcrafted teak floors and restful bedrooms leading to spacious dressing areas. The one-bedroom cottage accommodates two adults in a queen-size double bed and one child on a sofa bed. The two-bedroom cottage accommodates up to four adults and one child, in a queen-size double bed and three single beds. All rooms are located less than 5 minutes walk from Pansea beach. Due to the natural hillside setting which includes numerous steps, The Chedi is not suitable for less mobile people.
